The License, in Plain English
Every sound on CinematicSFX is royalty-free and cleared for real work. This page is the whole license. No login-gated PDF, no lawyer maze: what you read here is what applies.
What you can do
- Use every sound in personal and commercial projects. Trailers, short films, ads, client videos, wedding films, documentaries, YouTube content, podcasts, games and apps.
- Monetize the result. Ad revenue, sponsorships, paid client work, festival submissions, broadcast. All fine.
- Edit and process the sounds. Cut, stretch, pitch, layer, distort and mix them into your work however you like.
- Use them forever. Downloads are yours permanently. No renewal, no subscription, no expiry.
- Skip attribution. Credit is appreciated but never required.
What you cannot do
- Resell or redistribute the sounds themselves. You cannot repackage CinematicSFX audio into another sound library, sample pack, template marketplace listing or download site, free or paid. The sounds must be part of a larger creative work.
- Claim ownership of the raw sounds. You own your finished project; the underlying recordings remain CinematicSFX's.
- Register the raw sounds in content-ID systems. Do not upload the unedited sounds to YouTube Content ID or similar fingerprinting services, since that would flag other legitimate users.
Where the sounds come from
Every sound in the library is an original recording or original composition produced by CinematicSFX. Nothing is sampled from films, games, television or other sound libraries, which is why the license can be this simple: there are no third-party rights hiding underneath.
The short version: make anything you want with these sounds and earn money from it. Just do not resell the sounds themselves as sounds.
